Tottenham Hotspur has released their new alternate jersey, to be worn away in Europe for their upcoming Champions League campaign.

The 2019/20 third shirt is predominantly turquoise with a navy trim, while the sublimated graphic throughout the kit is symbolic of the glass panels which adorn the outside of Spurs’ new stadium, and is said to give the kit a shimmering effect when worn.

The kit pays tribute to the Tottenham's heritage by bringing back the famous light blue first seen back in 1885, a shirt replicated for the club's 125th anniversary in 2007.

Light blue has featured regularly as a third kit since the 1980s.

The kit is part of Nike’s global 1990’s theme and features both a smart striped collar and the classic Nike logo from that era.

The retro theme complements the kit perfectly with the navy trim of the shirt which also covers the sleeves, sponsor and famous cockerel badge.

The jersey has gone down well with Tottenham supporters who will be hoping it can become as iconic as the 1984 kit which was worn in the first leg of the famous UEFA Cup victory.
