Manchester United defender, Diogo Dalot has used his first salary from the Red Devils to buy his childhood team Fintas Football School a new team bus in what was a surprise for the Portuguese side.

The 19-year-old felt the need to repay Fintas for the time spent on his development when he was younger, leaving the club when he was nine to join FC Porto.

Dalot signed for the Manchester side last summer for a fee of $25 million and has quickly proved to be one of the most exciting prospects in football.

Dalot has been impressive this season for the Red Devils despite their inconsistent start to the Premier League campaign, however, he has struggled with injury at times.

Despite playing for one of the world's biggest clubs Dalot has not forgotten his footballing roots, looking to help his former club greatly with the purchase of a bus.

Luis Travassos, coordinator of the football school, told A Bola: "We spoke to Diogo by Skype. He was on the [Manchester United] coach on his way to the match."

"He told us to go outside, where we found a bus for the club. It was certainly a shock! He prepared everything secretly and saved a part of his first salary in England for the surprised.

"To us, an institution with so many financial problems and so little resources, the gift was enormous. Every bit of help we received is wonderful."

Dalot will be hoping karma comes his United teammates way as we head into the business end of the season, with the Red Devils continuing to push to maintain their top four position.

Manchester United face Liverpool this weekend and will be hoping to put a massive dent in their fiercest rival's title chase.
